Key Assignment
The Digital Forensics Plan was completed in Week 4 with the following sections:
- Company Overview
- Abstract
- Table of Contents
- Analysis
- Threats and Vulnerabilities
- Computer System Incident
- Internet and Network Incident
- Conclusion
- References
For the Week 5 assignment, the section on Risk Mitigation Techniques and Plans will be added to the plan. This section will identify the following:
- Process for jointly developing the risk mitigation strategy so all departments are represented with priorities and assets addressed and identified
- Activities involved with creation of the detailed Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP) (e.g., identification of owners, tasks, and creation of timelines)
- Contents and implementation procedures of a Risk Mitigation and Prevention Plan to prevent future common breaches
- Recommended techniques to mitigate common breaches in the future
- Applying post incident review findings to adjust incident response procedures and mitigate future security breaches
This last section will be used to identify the details of risk mitigation and prevention activity required so that the organization may understand the threat activities, vulnerabilities, and plans to prevent future breaches and resulting disruptions from attacks.
- Section should be in APA format, 1–2 pages, and in MS Word.
- The Reference List must be provided in APA format.
Ensure that you add Appendix A to your overall Key Assignment document. Your Key Assignment should incorporate feedback from the students in Week 4 and from the instructor.
- Be sure to update your table of contents before submission.
- Name the document “IP5.doc.”
- Submit your Final Key Assignment for grading.
